My name is
Ryan Hill and I have just joined the ranks of the unemployed, at least for the
month of January. And, like thousands of other Americans without a job, I
decided I would go occupy something. But, rather than wasting my time camping
in public parks trying to protest what I am against, I have decided to occupy
something to show what I am for. So, for the month of January, I am going to
occupy God’s word, and specifically I am going to spend the month in the book
of Acts. Jesus’ church spread like wildfire in the first century, and the
direction and function of the church was described and mapped out for us in the
book of Acts. I want Jesus’ church, not man’s church or religion’s church, to
spread like wildfire in the 21st century, so I’m going to see how it
was done then to see what needs to be done now. My plan is to journey through
the book of Acts, verse by verse, studying and praying through one chapter each
day. I will then update this blog with the truths revealed and the challenges
received each day as I go on this journey. I do not pretend to think this will
be an exhaustive commentary with deep spiritual and theological truth for all
to read, but rather an account of how God is challenging and changing me
through the reading of His word.
28 chapters in 31 days.
Infinite
amount of truth, very finite mind.
Lord may my
ears hear and my eyes see whatever it is you have for me!
